try camping.. buy tent in costco.. but depends on the kids,... if they are too young skip it, oitherwise its a good exp.. and you wll save  lot of money. (room 200-300 per night vs camping 25$)

dont miss old faithful..

1week may be too long but you can cover some other things near by..

 grand titon nat park and  glacier national parks is near by...

camping in a tent might be risky right..yellowstone is full of wild life

2 days yellowstone , 1 day Grand Teton and 4 days glacier national park plan cheyandi . Glacier is only 5 hrs from Yellowstone .  I personally love glacier than Yellowstone .

One entrance don’t close at all . But nov nunchi it’s at your own risk . Today it snowed heavily already .

you are not really sleeping in the woods.. ;)

there will be lot of people/tents around.. and its mainly like parking lot.

But yes,  carrying bear spray recommended.. in yellowstone if you are camping or hiking.

(rest of the animals dont come near by camping area in general.. bears attract to food)

In my whole week in yellowstone, just saw buffallows near by camping area... with in i/4mile.

glacier is good.. but i felt yellowstone is active.. with all those geysers and colors...and the supher smell.. walking on semi active volcano..

Anduke i told i personally love glacier than yellowstone. You can have your opinion sir.
