These ratios should be normalized to the proportion of population of each race. I can understand if you're writing this about men vs women, because they are in equal numbers, but with respect to race, you need to normalize your math. Besides, with affirmative action in place, everyone knows that it's much harder for a white male to succeed than a racial minority.

what are you blabbering? whites are barely 60% of the US. 'white' itself is a silly term.

hispanics are almost 20% of US

blacks are 13%

I understand if you make the argument that looking at this problem from the identity perspective is faulty, but you are saying something else entirely.

actually, if they gathered data based on social status of parents, the picture would be much clearer. irrespective of race, upper class is dominating in the US and it is now the country with the least social mobility in the civilized world perhaps.

There are several dynamics at play here. not just race.

for eg. all those uppercaste mundalu from India, upperclass cuban venezuelan assholes, are all over represented if you take specific ethnicities.

Whites are 77% in the US. There are white people who are Hispanic and Latino as well. But if you want to think it's 60% stay in your imagination.
