Tried and tried bhayya. Mostly big companies in UK like WorldPay, Goldman Sachs and other Top 100 made it mandatory now a days. Companies like BSkyB also administering this test recently.

Do we have people in this Forum who can help on this? I know there are many people who can give  voice support for interview call in the US, but in UK the biggest problem is with clearing these HackerRank tests.

usually 3 questions will be there, first can done easily, second with somewhat difficulty can be done.

But the third one will be the toughest with questions like print all the palindromes that are substrings of the given input, that too in best time and space complexities and so on. Usually this thrid question cannot be easily done in the left after first and second programs.

Asalu yeenti bhayya, USA lo Amazon, Cisco, facebook laanti companies lo antha easy gaa vuntaaya positions?

Mostly aa companies lo Tech positions anni Europeans like German/Polish/Russian/Spanish developers thoone fill aipootaayi

UK lo aithe okkasaari eBay lo 2 rounds finish cheesesariki naa pani aipoyindhi. inka FaceBook, Amazon and Microsoft aithe neenu inthavaraku mana Telugu Tejaalu clear cheesinattu choodala/vinala.

Usually product based companies recruit best developers from best countries like EasternEuropean/Russian/Polsig/German but never like Indian Devs which ranks 31 in Developers index.

Thanks bhayya. Thank you very much. Generally unlike in the USA, Indians are not preferred choice for software roles. They are here only because of big tech firms like TCS,Infy,Wipro who can bring truck loads of people by Monday morning if you order them before you leave on friday evening. they are in the race only because of numbers but not because of Quality.

There are a number of discussions in TechSpace in the UK where some people are coining this phrase 'If your job can be done from  anywhere in the UK (WFH), then it can be done from any where in the World like India,Poland, Philippines'.

Then the comments from the Senior management of some companies are like - 'Its funny to include India in that list. India is never a threat for techies in the UK as the jobs that go to India are either low quality jobs or old tech jobs. Also those good projects which were sent to India are coming back to UK because of Quality concerns'.

Almost 90% of the management is of the same opinion, outsourcing to India is not any longer cost effective as we need to do the double work after they send the finished work and its never of the expected Quality.

Oh, thats a huge set back man. They stopped Tier-1 and PSW both in Nov,2010 and extended the dead line till05,April,2011

I remember everyday that time. I was on tier-1 from 2008 but wa sstruggling to get even 32k job as web dev those days.

Many students have to go back to India with huge loans pending on their head.

IT in the UK is big bull Sheet and its only after 2015 that contracting became easy like in USA.

but now again they made every role INSIDE IR35 which is same as Perm job that wont fetch many bucks.

A role in Central London used to fetch 75k but with Covid-19 I doubt if there are any jobs in IT in UK.

I took the test finally . Total 10 questions vachayi ..3 Java coding questions (leetcode easy -medium ), 3  questions related to Writing SQL queries .scenario icharu and few tables..we have to write a query for the given problem statement... 3 MCQ - Threading , HTTP Headers and Exceptions.. and finally 1 design question.. they gave a banking system with a skeleton project ..we have to clone the project on local and design the classes to make Unit tests workings. they gave a big UML also to show how classes interact .. This one I could not complete as I did not have a set up to run java projects on my laptop...I tried installing but hardluck it was not on time.

I was not told that I need to have a working environment ready.. :-(.. I was expecting hackerrank to have everything required for the project execution.
