Imagine the kind of breakthroughs done by the likes of Oxford,Cambridge and other European Institutes and after WWII carried on by American Institutes.

Breakthrough means an entirely new kind of thing like Electricity,Magnetism,Optics, Nuclear Physics, Organic Chemistry, Nuclear Fusion etc.

And recently MRI Scan technology....no others can even come closer to what Europeans achieved in last 200-300 years.
