After US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to block ‘Tik Tok’, owned by ByteDance, American Technology giant Microsoft has offered to buy US operations of the Chinese social media app. However, according to the latest blog post by Microsoft, ByteDance has rejected their bid. The company issued a statement – “ByteDance let us know today they would not be selling TikTok’s U.S. operations to Microsoft,”

Earlier last week, Microsoft was confident that ‘ByteDance’ would agree their proposal – which is considered good for TikTok users while protecting national security interests. But, The Chinese firm has picked up ‘Oracle’ as its technology partner in the United States. There is no official comment from TikTok and Oracle.

After President Trump has repeatedly said that an US company should come forward to buy the operations of TikTok, leading tech giants including Microsoft, Walmart and Oracle have initiated talks with ByteDance.
