I get this error on Iphone 111 Pro

"There is a problem with your iphone

This iphone cannot be activated for service.Please contact your service provider or Applecare"

Does it mean iphone is locked or icloud locked?I have got this phone from cousin from US who bought this phone in AT&T contract.

Please throw some light.

iPhone 111 pro?

may be they realized that they sold it to your friend 100 years early 

 

on serious note, you are saying that he got it on contract with at&t which means it is locked to at&t. he supposed to request for unlock

also some kakkurthi people iphones poyaayi ani claim chesi india lo ammestu untaaru.

appudu vaatini black list lo pedataaru. ala pedithe usa lo pani cheyavu. not sure about India

i think this is the case...he claimed new iphone by telling old iphone is lost...anyway to activate blacklisted iphone in india?

ebay is not there in india.

Good luck, you will eventually spend more, that's why you should buy in India, you get warrenty ad well.

Direct apple ki phone kottu they can guide you... 

If not  check on net options are there and few unlockers are there in market but that may void warranty..
