Only VW and to an extent, Ford will survive Indian market..

More over, India is not a car frenzy market for these guys to even set up shop and sell cars, they should probably get some fro. Malaysia or Indonesia and sell here..

Fortuner ki Ertiga laga tax lu kavali ante etta

not sure which segment they are complaining about, but taxes are very high on vehicles in india. I think, for a car with onroad price of 10 lakhs, around 4-5 lakhs will go into taxes(road taxes & other taxes involved in manufacturing). they have point in complaining about it.

Nah..

India lo main ga size of engine and length of the car based mida taxes vuntayi..

Ertiga, Ecosport cars anni 4 meters length. Infact most successful cars today running on road fall into this category..

More than 2.0 liter Diesel engine attracts higher excise rate. You know for what type of cars use above 2.0 liter Diesel engines.

such cars attract highest taxes, unfortunately Toyota sells 80% of their cars in this bracket and it’s their problem. Let them cater to Indian market and make and sell cars suited to Indian consditions.

Hehe..

still inkoka 5-10% subsidized ae..

Manollu oil bonds punyama ani inkoka decade varaku Diesel has to be subsidized, not at the pump but at the time of oil company audits.

Okappudu heavily subsided, now marginally subsidized.

Most people calculate pump rate, then look at barrel rate in $ and compare the price which makes sense but actual pricing works differently.

Govt does makes hell lot of money, and it has to because petroleum is one such product which India can not afford to sell for cheap. We use forex to pay for petrol and import the commodity.

Hmm..not really.
Every year, ministry of finance releases about 10-15k Crores as oil bill to petro companies. This is part of subsidy diesel gets on a whole.

What you see and claim 40rs-50rs taxes are collected by lot of departments and that’s what you see at the pump, but subsidy is not retail. It’s not calculated as subsidy per liter but in terms of annual subsidy, like whole sale and government pays to oil marketing companies for the losses they suffered.

For example, diesel consumption for railways, fertiliser plants, Naptha, Natural gas etc are heavily subsidized because of their core importance. Veetimida almost 40-50% subsidy vuntadi. Defence forces ki supply chese fuel mida no tax and they buy from refineries directly at bulk subsidized rate..on a whole, for 1 kilo liter of diesel sold in India, almost 400 liters are heavily subsidized and about 600 liters sold at retail level where tax collected is shared between state, center and local municipalities.
