Lost oppurtunity for both google & msft.

 

msft bought skype for 3billion many years back. Skype was no 1 at that point.. 

 

google hangeouts/meets inka enno chat applications. 
 

if skype or meet lived upto expectations, it would have been total different story...

 

i think this is going to be the future. Instead of few companies havinh footprint on all the product areas, we may have multiple companies owning 1 product area. Like slack for enterprise chat, zm for video calls and so on.

i just dont understand why giants like MSFT GOOG cannot get a simple collab tool to work

@Vaampire  the issue for MSFT and Google is...

startups and small scale offices are scared to go into their web for just a Collab tool. they know how they usually get sucked up into their magic of paying for all the tools.

whereas Zoom came up with only product from the company and garnered the masses..with free versions and quality reliability...

lets say in future if Zoom company comes up with another product other than the video calling....they will also see end of the road...

only way zoom can enhance is supporting wide array of devices and platforms...and it can be evergreen...

large enterprises which are onboard with MSFT, they tried to push Teams over the employees but there was lots of revolt internally (ex in our company) to move to Zoom and Slack...slowly Teams is dying out now...for us.

endukante if they want to connect to anyone outside the company or something, then they have to use multiple collab tools...

anduke janam to paatu manam annattu...large enterprises also following the herd..
