India's first RRTS train design unveiled! Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) on Friday unveiled the first look of RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System) train, connecting Delhi-Meerut, via Ghaziabad. The RRTS train will cover 82 km long distance in an hour approximately. It will be first of its kind in India with a design speed of 180 kmph. However, the prototype is scheduled to roll off the production line in 2022.

Major Reason behind it the MPS (Maximum Permissible speed) is higher in North and easy for higher speeds due to better supported soil conditions than south which is bit loose as compared north...

In South it usually ranges only from 90-110 Kmph in north its in 110-130 Kmph.. It shall take more work to be done to make it feasible.

2014 tarvata edaina pedda change that’s visible ante railways ae...chala improve ayindi railway standards...private participation valla we should be able to see much better services..

180 Kmph is that rake is capable of hitting that speed but in India achieving that speeds will take time..
