Which field?

Do you have GRE? Masters ekkada chesavu?

Did you complete any thesis work during masters?

Finally, are you writing emails to any professors who might be interested in taking new students?

Depends on the program you are trying to get into.

If it's a top ranked program within top 20 for it's specialization, forget it.

Popularity of EE at U of Wyoming

During the 2018-2019 academic year, University of Wyoming handed out 23 bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering. Due to this, the school was ranked #229 out of all colleges and universities that offer this degree. This is an increase of 92% over the previous year when 12 degrees were handed out.

In 2019, 8 students received their master’s degree in EE from U of Wyoming. This makes it the #172 most popular school for EE master’s degree candidates in the country.

In addition, 1 students received their doctoral degrees in EE in 2019, making the school the #145 most popular school in the United States for this category of students.

I got phD opportunity but I didn't take it as I realised that I would be in a better position without it. PhD takes atleast 5-8 years and in that time we get lots of pratical work experience.

With that attitude, good thing you didn't join the program.
