Thats because reddy's literally rule the land , education and development ah area lo perigithe obviously they'll lose the grip over it , AP had reddy CM's for 40 years after the independence , not even a single person did anything meaningful to rayalaseema

Already Britishers had thrown everything they could until 1850 on this Seema land and finally decided that this land is one Hell of a Hole and they left it for its own fate. They concluded this sheet of land cannot be cured and left to die. And adapted more suitable places like Madras, Calcutta, Bombay and Delhi.

Godavari Delta and Krishna Deltas were created by them by 1900 and hence those regions got richer even though entire Coastal also was caste-ridden.

By 1935, British Engineers had drafted a plan to integrate all the Rivers in India (Linkage of Rivers) but then WW-II had completely weakend the British Raj - thus India becoming independent with chex-addicted and drug-addicted families of Nehru-Gandhi leading India into deep mess.
