My husband is a horrible person

He thinks that it's okay if Jeff Bezos is getting richer and richer while some people can't make ends meet. He thinks it's alright for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer since the rich worked their ass off to get where they are like Jeff Bezos, that privilege doesn't exist and people just use the opportunities they get, and your life is a result of the choices you make. 

I need an argument that supports liberal views, I used healthcare as an example, if people deserve to get Universal healthcare since it is such a basic requirement, since people who don't have it become broke and end up in debt. He disagrees because it's required by the Government for everyone in the US to have a health insurance, and I said what if someone doesn't have insurance, and he says who's fault is that? 

I need some arguments supporting socialism because I am unable to defend my point of view that some people have privilege. Any ideas?

He says he is unaware of that, since legally the Congress determines tax laws and not capitalists. And Congress exists in both cases, Dems or Reps.

very simple, google happiest citizens and u will see most of the countries on the list are those that take care of basic needs of their citizens, when those needs are taken care of well, people can be at peace and spend their time happily doing what they like. Your husband is comparing himself to Bezos lol..its more apt for him to compare himself to an average joe.

Jeff Bezos got where he is because he is smart enough to come up with something as innovative as Amazon and he is entitled to any profits that Amazon makes.

He is not comparing himself with Bezos, just saying that Bezos is entitled to the wealth he has and income inequality is not because of privilege but because people didn't make the same life choices.

Industrialists (rich).. pay the nominal/minimum working wages to worker class and earning high profits is capitalism..

Industrialists (rich)...pay the same wages to worker class and also providing some community services like building colonies , hospitals and schools for workers children etc... is socialism.. (example Robert Owen 1771-1858)
