From your response, I see your husband feels like he earned his privilege. If he really did earn it then it is really up to him/you to as a couple to put it to good use. Humans are social creatures. To your question in the end it's more ethical way of thinking you got there, but ethics are to be followed at will. Where as social contracts on other hand, don't.

"cos for the same reason that they do what is profitable for them. Amazon hires delivery guys in America not in China. Salesforce develops all its goods in America, not in China. It is not capitalist's responsibility to do what is good to the country. In doing what is good for himself, tightened by Government regulations, they eventually supply the goods that can be distributed. It is his idea, his money, his risk and his reward. No one can lay a claim to it or ask for a share just based on their need. I am not arguing whether Capitalism is good or bad. I am arguing that I have no reason to feel responsible for the miseries of my fellow countrymen just because they are not as well off as I am. It is the responsibility of the Government to fix loopholes in their taxing laws, not moral obligation of a producer to not make use of them. The rich is 1% of any economy. The argument is that the rich frame laws via the politicians. The politicians cannot just win by 1% votes. The under privileged have their choice to vote them out. If you chose a guy who is in turn screwing you, the blame squarely lies with you. Not the person who is becoming rich. Just because I am middle class guy, it does not automatically give me an entitlement to Mr. Ambani's wealth. What it gives me is an ambition to make my right choices which will in someday take me to a better position that what I am in currently. While I don't completely proscribe to all that she says, I find resonance when Ayn Rand say's, “I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.” Just a foot note. I find a lot of her argument contrived and rudimentary.

I need an argument that supports liberal views, I used healthcare as an example, if people deserve to get Universal healthcare since it is such a basic requirement, since people who don't have it become broke and end up in debt. He disagrees because it's required by the Government for everyone in the US to have a health insurance, and I said what if someone doesn't have insurance, and he says who's fault is that? 

I need some arguments supporting socialism because I am unable to defend my point of view that some people have privilege. Any ideas?
