he will be an idiot if he comes here , CA has a lot of scope to earn and comfortably live in India , the effort he has to put in is not worth

If he wants to take the hard part , MS Finance , Accounting untayi but it will be years before he recovers all the money and with these courses not even STEM he will have an uphill battle to overcome the restrictions that are in place now and it could get even more difficult

If he has asked you I'm 100% sure he has already made up his mind so no matter what anyone tells he will not listen , anubhaviste kani teliyadu , I wish him good luck though

it depends on college kada , appox 30k-35k for fees in a decent state university and then living expenses

do all the calculations , 1-1.5 yrs of income loss + fees + living expenses + travel expenses etc

some cases he may not get FTE directly and may have to join as an intern for a few months , pay could be less during that stage and they may not save much

factor all these and then savings every year and then do a calculation to see how many years it will take..

how old is he btw? if he is young and single then it may be ok for him to do this , if he is older , it could be a lot tough but not impossible

Yeah, better to get GC than struggle endhukante it will normally take time to get another job if you are fired in finance - in IT you have consultancies etc. Quantitative research leda banks lo baane theesukuntaru with phd. All this I am assuming he wants to settle down here. Accountancy ne ante you need 120 credits (CA is 60 and bachelors in india another 90) will be enough to give the CPA exams. I think because of Covid you can give them in India for a few months.
