No Saini in India-A match ... looks like his future is fasaked

Already vaadini tried in ODIs but siraj ki inka match practice raaledhu ani tried him out...

Tests lo Shami,Bumrah & Umesh will be in XI very less chance of Saini/Siraj getting a game unless one of 3 main are injured.

Rohit Sharma likely to clear fitness test, may play last 2 Tests

India tour of Australia: Rohit Sharma is likely to clear the fitness assessment on December 11 which will hold him in good stead to be available for selection for the last 2 matches of the much-anticipated 4-Test series Down Under.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Rohit Sharma's fitness will be assessed on December 11 in bengaluru
  • Rohit is working his recovery and focussing on strength training at the NCA
  • Ravindra Jadeja unlikely to be available for selection for 1st Test

Rohit Sharma is likely to feature in the last 2 Tests of the much-anticipated 4-match series in Australia as the India opener is in line to clear the fitness test at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru on December 11. Sources have told India Today that Rohit is recovering well from the hamstring injury and looking set to fly to Australia.

Rohit Sharma's hamstring is "much, much better" and he will be boarding the flight to Australia on December 12, provided he clears the assessment on the previous day. Rohit has also been focusing on strength building at the NCA.

Rohit is likely to have a 14-day hard quarantine if he manages to reach Australia. After a week of training, the India opener is expected to be ready for the 3rd Test, which gets underway at the Sydney Cricket Ground on January 7.

Rohit's availability is key to India's chances of making a mark in the Test series as skipper Virat Kohli will not be available after the series opener - a day-night fixture in Adelaide, starting December 17. Kohli will be returning home to be with his wife and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma for the birth of their child.

Rohit Sharma has been picked in India's Test squad after he was rested for the limited-overs fixtures in Australia due to the hamstring injury he picked up during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Rohit braved the hamstring issue to play the play-offs and the final for Mumbai Indians even as he was initially left out from India squads.

Rohit was added to the Test squad but the India opener did not travel with the team to Australia. The BCCI cleared the air over the issue, saying Rohit had to head back to India from the UAE to attend to family illness. Rohit has been working on his recovery and fitness at the NCA since landing in Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, sources have told Sports Today, that Ravindra Jadeja is unlikely to be available for selection for the first Test. The all-rounder was ruled out of the T20I series after he picked up a hamstring injury and concussion during the series opener on Friday in Canberra.

After losing the ODI series 1-2, India have sealed an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the T20I series. Virat Kohli's men will be eyeing a clean sweep as they look to head into the Test series with a series of wins under their belt.
