Lucid haha , that car wont even come out till end of next yr. Tesla just slashes prices coz it can

sole market leader in its segment and its margins are above 23%, so when they slash the price they do it coz they can , they are making the same model S at a cheaper price now (economies of scale buddy..)

FSD is an option , aka an ADD ON, everyone is welcome to opt out of it.

So Please preach and publicize that its not worth it and customers will do their own cost analysis and take a decision.

THEY are raising the price of it incrementally as  THEY think they have a close to good autonomous software product , that they can sell it and make additional profit.

if that strategy backfires, you are more than welcome to laugh at Q4 results when that gets reflected. OK ??

I'm not in california where tesla insurance is available, so i would be worried about getting into an accident

but yes i would pay 8k for that feature (If i can afford) .

10k not so much. its a hefty price tag.

so ppl claiming that 2k price increase is going to mint money to cover up money lost elsewhere are totally wrong.

Its a gimmick for now, in future they will have a perfect driver aid system with minimal intervention needed.

I hope they will then make it free and standard on all models.

ROBOTAXI laaga car ni usage lo pettadaniki they might conceieve a fature that costs 10k and that will be worth it

for now all these EAP beat testers are helping TESLA public/crowd test kinks in software and helping them make robust

Future is too far, in future, sure we all get driver-less cars. But we are here now. Tesla insurance can't bring back lives. They are powerful enough to tell you it's a driver mistake. I don't think we would want to blindly believe in their comments. Not even a single accident up until now Tesla admits it's their software fault.
