Gc deny chesi malli approve chesara ..friday story

I finally got my GC yesterday in hand after 12 yrs since entering the US. It was not easy and there were tears in my eyes when I saw the approval notice. It was not easy because USCIS had denied my 485 AOS at the interview saying that my answers didnt match with my application. Their denial letter was a cut copy paste job where the first two pages said why I qualified for the green card and the next 3 pages said why i will be denied and speaking about things that had nothing to do with my case. I felt terribly betrayed.  I had 2 attorneys with me at the interview who had applied all my paperwork beginning with Labor.  They were recommended by my employer of 11 yrs and were a small sized agency. They adviced me to leave the country, reapply for a new h1b and redo the whole thing again. After 12 yrs !. The attorneys gave me legalese on how USCIS will reject my backup h1b extension and filing a motion to reopen will be futile and how ICE will be at my door once my EAD expired.  I had even put my home on the market for a week and watched buyers inspect it. Luckily a friend adviced me to get a second opinion from Murthy law firm. Within 1 minute of hearing my case and my attorney's legalese , Murthy point blank told me that my attorney didn't know what he was talking about. I switched to the Murthy firm who filed for my h1b transfer and extension, filed the motion to reopen my case. That was in Feb 2020. The next 8 months were easily the most anxious months of my life. Murthy also filed a stinging response to the USCIS denial letter. They even point blank wrote that hatred was the reason why the USCIS had denied my case (they quoted legal cases too). They took apart USCIS' reasons for denying me the card. Murthy informed me that they couldn't find any reason why I could be denied legally and also pointed out , importantly, that my previous attorney had a clash of interest since they knowingly represented me as well as my ex employer (who withdrew my h1b and I 140). Subsequently I got my h1b transferred as well as extended successfully (not even a RFE was issued), and finally the 485 approval came through..Not a single extra document or proof or interview was requested by USCIS. They had accepted Murthy's motion to reopen without any argument. When your case runs into problem it's important to work with a multi speciality agency like Murthy since expertise in multiple areas of immigration law is involved..aa single man show won't be able to help you at these points .
