Siddipet: Asking the officials to initiate the process for selecting the beneficiaries of double bedroom houses in Gajwel Assembly Constituency, Siddipet Collector P Venkatrami Reddy instructed the officials to select the beneficiaries in the presence of all the villagers by conducting a ‘grama sabha’.

TDuring a review meeting with the officials from various departments in Gajwel on Friday, the Collector directed the officials to place a box in the premises of all the Gram Panchyats in the Constituency to help the villagers to drop their applications. The officials were asked them to select the beneficiaries through draw of lots if the number of eligible beneficiaries are higher than the number of houses constructed in a particular village.

To make the selection process transparent, the Collector suggested the officials to give a number to each and every applicant before selecting the beneficiaries. Enquiring the progress of the works, the Collector directed them to speed up the works
