Am talking about child support

not paternity test

You said we should be safe by asking for a paternity test.

Two cases here

1. Paternity test-> Divorce -> Child Support

2. Paternity test-> No divorce -> Guilt

What I actually meant was only in case of guys who are supposed to pay child support

Divorce- ( chilld support decision) - paternity test( pass / fail)- sign up / escape

In those cases the father is given the option to go for a paternity test anyway. It would be really dumb not to.

There are other cases like time since birth/guy acting like the father of the child etc where the court will order to pay child support regardless of the test results.

Scenario 1: I thought it's kind of rude to ask for test. Even they are ending up divorced and still that's their kids most of the times.

Scenario 2: that's sad. But some men are emotionally attached to the kids and still play father irrespective of court's decision.

No. I always meant that the marriage was alive when the paternity test was requested. That would be the safest scenario for anyone. May be the government should make paternity tests mandatory. That would probably open another can of worms, but if safety is the priority then that would be the right path.

If it is made mandatory by the government then it is an easier pill to swallow.
