Deutsche Bank proposes a 5% tax for people still working from home after the pandemic

  • A Deutsche Bank survey found more than half of workers wanted to continue working from home for the 2-3 days a week after the pandemic.
  • A 5% tax rate on those days on the average salary of a remote worker could raise $48 billion a year in the U.S., £6.9 billion in the U.K. and 15.9 billion euros in Germany.
  • This would cover the costs of grants for people who can’t work from home and are on lower incomes.

Because they are smart people who know how to avoid taxes so instead closing those tax loopholes govt should either get rid of poor or tax the middle class people ani @PilliBetahusband last week election disco lo briefed

right , tax people who earn less and make living from paycheck to paycheck , whoever came up with this idea needs their head checked..

That is how system works kadha this is normal from last 3 decades. Rich aka corporations will get tax credits , tax breaks and incentives. Working class who pay taxes will be taxed more. Free loaders who don’t pay taxes get welfare so that they can sit home.

Lol, you know there is a provision to claim your second bedroom (depending on the square feet) as home office when you're working from home. These people should do that instead of complaining.

When you make peanuts when compared to corporations, you save peanuts in tax loopholes.
