BTW It's not a first gen , apple has been developing ARM chips for so long , they have much more expirerince than any other ARM chip maker now . even the biggest apple haters are in full praise for the chip performance Even the sustained performance is off the charts , the main drawback is it will not be useful for a non IOS dev for now . Also the repairs will be extremely costly because even the ram is on the CPU die , so if anything ever goes wrong you will need to replace the whole motherboard / CPU /ram/memory . So getting a long term warranty might be good . But overall you are right , it's a first gen .
