Development is a slow process.. it takes decades to see something that you can boast of.. Do you think there is development In Hyderabad compared to 20 years ago? If yes, then we are on the right track. The revenue increased manifold in the last 2-3 decades.. more revenue leads to more development.. also remember that many people don’t pay taxes in India.. property taxes are very very less.. many transactions happen off The book.. still we are doing lot better with limited tax revenues...

The reason people don't want to pay taxes is. They don't see any tangible benefit to it

If there is  development going I am sure everyone one will.pay their fair share

Most of the taxes go into the politicians pockets, compare how politicians behave in public in India to how they behave in the US just for an example. 

NOw a days it's improving but it's not yet to a point where we can even call the politicians in India half way decent when it comes to their public behavior.

So was India. India and China are examples of the difference in Governance. Democracy vs single party system, clearly China's one party system is working better than India's multi party system. Maybe we should give up on Democracy and ask the CCP to rule us.

One reason is  if a country to  see development we need credit in the system 

In a country like India it's tough to get credit 

Credit has ability to build an economy

Example

The great depression hit the general public when people were unable to get credit

Lack of credit in system has domino effect on overall economy.

We all know how tough is it to get a loan in india.

When u go to foundations of economic structure both macro and micro  credit plays a major role.

Only if you are "aam aadmi". 

If you are Mallya, Nirav Modi or one of those people you will get banks throwing thousands of crores as loans at you.

Won't be a bad start, our multi party system is divided in every way. No wonder coalition parties ruled roost over India for a long long time

So in 4 decades, that country has grown from being considered a poor country to now competing with US so much so that US has been pulling out of a lot of trade deals with them in the past few years.

They still give loans to businessmen that are most likely to default though.
