how do you know these laws doesnt address the grievances??

do you know what % of farmers get MSP for grains?

Old habits die hard and especially the agriculture community is not ready for a gigantic change. For a larger part of the population that is still dependent on agriculture, a big bang approach does not work and people in power should know that. Smaller , incremental changes go a long way in realizing the intent. One sided/lop sided decisions making won't work other than muddying the waters.

Intent and Implementation have to go hand in hand for success. Look at what impact Demo, GST have caused. I say intent was good but the implementation was not good enough and the administration still hasn't learned their lessons.

Agriculture, most important industries in the Indian economy, contributes 18% to the country’s GDP and employs 60% of its population.

By bringing the full force of liberalisation to the farm economy and in the process fundamentally restructuring Indian society (around 60% of the population still rely on agriculture for their livelihoods), any remnants of economic sovereignty will be hollowed out and India will become a fully incorporated subsidiary of global capitalism and that is what is fundamentally flawed. It is because of the same reason India never felt the pinch of global recession.

Your point is because MSP is for a certain % of farmers why even bother about it. Great

Big Bang reform ante peeki paakam pettadam kaadu and one sided decisions antha kanna kaadu. I rest my case.

Was there even a debate or dialogue when they passed this law?

Punjab produces 40% of India’s food needs and obviously 90% of the population there are dependent on agriculture

Invite chesinodu secretary ni pampindu. Farmers representatives walked out citing that the minister should have been present. Excerpt from the article. This news is from October 14th, 2020. Vallu 2 months pai nunchi agitation chestunnaru and pattinchukune naadhude ledu.

Farmers' representatives Joginder Singh and Jagmohan Singh said that Union Ministers were holding meetings in Punjab and spreading "propaganda" even as the union leaders were called for a meeting with the Agriculture Secretary in New Delhi.

"At least Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar should have been present at the meeting," one of the leaders said.

After a one-and-a-half-hour long meeting with Agarwal, the leader said: "They (union ministers) are doing propaganda in villages and here the minister was not even present."

"We asked the secretary whether the government was really interested in resolving the issue before walking out," he said, asserting that the agitation against the three farm laws will continue.

Meanwhile, government sources said that a second meeting was proposed in hope that common ground could be reached after the farmers' organisations rejected the first offer.

Ahead of the scheduled meeting with Agriculture Ministry officials, representatives of farmers' organisations had said they wanted to meet the Prime Minister and the Agriculture Minister to put forth their views regarding the new laws.

"We came for the meeting because we did not want to give the impression that farmers are not open to dialogue. But we also want to meet the Prime Minister and the Agriculture Minister," said farmers' representatives Dr Darshan Pal and Kulwant Singh Sandhu.

your understanding of economy is what is fundamentally flawed

you yourself said what is wrong with indian economy - 60% of people are producing just 18% of GDP
