I never got these but these are part of potli masala which you get from MJ market it has strong smell and taste.

MDH biryani masala have lots of black pepper which makes it more spicy and taste less.

Biryani is all about being flavor with decent amount of spicyness, more spicy (as in chillis/heat) will negate the taste of other flavors in the biryani
