everything else, including destroying property, especially one that is shared, is an act of defiance. a bargaining tactic.

will those who set it to fire be removed? may be. but so will the guys who were in charge of handling this. and that's the point.

as for investors, they have no other way than to manufacture in India now for the domestic market. its time they improved their processes or leave India for local companies to fill that void.

wistrom is an odm, that has basically commoditized the process of designing, prototyping and manufacturing complex electronics products like mobiles.

They are in India, in what is basically a market where they can make a huge profit if they imported their processes from Taiwan. They have no competition beyond other similar taiwanese design firms.

and they still pay their employees sh1t. means they took Indians for granted.

I heard from a post on banglore reddit that the managing director of this plant is a despicable and corrupt man .

He was fired from his previous job for financial fraud and still managed to land such a big job at wistron .
