Nayan is technically better than gilichrist... Infact Healy also but Gilly made more presence with his batting and change the way WK was looked in cricket.

Nayan mongia keeping varaku India ki best. No doubt about that. Batting lo mathram very close to tail.

I'm keeping both Healy & gilly are almost same level. But in batting Gilly >>>> healy

Nuvvu cheppinattu gilly changed the way we look. Mundu wk's antey only keeping choosevallu. Ippudu batting must

Don't bring batting in to picture till late 90s once gilly entered picture, WK was a specialist job batting is secondary.

Mark Boucher (South Africa) ni maristhe etta baa...records paramgaa choosthe vaadu not only #1 but no one is even close to beating his record .... papam eye ki debba dagili thondaraga retire ayipoyadu kaani lekapothe 600+ catches/stumpings easy gaa undevi aani khatha lo....not a bad batsman too!

Yes he too is pretty good but struggles a bit keeping to top class spinners... But his record is impecable.

WK is supposed to be considered as regular batsmen.

one guy Sadhanandh Vishwanath was dynamite WK but didn't have long career with India due to various reasons.

Viswanath's stint in international cricket was brief but the fiery wicketkeeper was noticed by all.Sunil Gavaskar commented in his book 'One-Day Wonders', "People will talk about many other reasons why we won the World Championship of Cricket in 1985 but one of the main reasons was the presence of Sadanand Vishwanath behind the stumps." The Australian media too had written that " this good-looking wicket-keeper may be on his way to becoming India’s best ever."

Don't agree on what you have quoted but it has changed over the years particularly after gilly's emergence as I told earlier.

Best wickwt keepers are adam parore and mark boutcheradam parore never gave one bye ani vinna

Yes good keeper and fighting batsmen...

Regarding the giving bye-runs it was possibly in a single marathon innings when WI scored 600 plus.

In a game in which West Indian batsmen plundered runs with their flashing blades to rack up 660 for 5 declared, Parore didn’t concede even a single bye during the innings. In the annals of cricket, his glittering achievement still stands at No 4 slot among highest totals made without the keeper conceding a single bye.

yes. batting is not that easy after you concentrate for 90overs in a day.
