Inka topic close chyandi... there is very tough road ahead for Apple if they want to compete against Tesla in terms of mass production self driving( in terms of the real time data Tesla has) unless they find cheaper way of LiDar, gigafactories, charging infrastructure or battery technology... Apple intentions are for pay as you go for autonomous driving which is very hard .. Tesla and wynmo are multi years ahead this can be achieved only via experience/ real time data  not with money  unless Apple reinvent the wheel with different way .... again more than one company can exist by 2030 as 8 trillion ride share market to be  occupied by self driving

dude, people who argue like you come across as trolls.

I don't know a lot but I do know what NOT to talk about.

what makes you an expert to make "statements" about designing, manufacturing, marketing and selling CARS and PHONES??

are you an MBA or a chartered accountant or an industrial designer?

have you ever invented and patented something?

have you ever started a business?

what are you? even if we presume you have all those required qualifications, what are you doing on this stupid forum instead of joining tesla or starting your own CAR manufacturing company?

crawl out of your cave and everything will be alright. the world has progressed 400 years ahead of you.

The Apple Car is, reportedly, alive and well within the halls of Cupertino, California. Not only that, the ambitious project is supposedly far ahead of schedule. That's the word from a Taiwanese report in the Economic Daily News, published Monday.

The report cites unnamed sources that said suppliers will start to ramp up production of components for the famed (or infamous) Apple Car in the second quarter of 2021 and noted the project is running a couple years ahead of schedule. If you missed the Apple Car hoopla in the past, the technology giant was rumored to be close to revealing a prototype car last decade before the project was sent to shelf life. Instead, Apple decided to focus on self-driving car software and left the hardware portion of things to other companies.

Richard Mille watch cost $1 Million min. Rolex President watch costs $50000 min. Watch engineering lo swiss have their own knack and resale value. That's why even japanese can't scratch sWiss Watch industry in the last 30 years.

Apple watch audience is youth. Where as Swiss Watch audience is Middle age and old age people. So evari target audience vallaki unnaru.

Apple watch is not traditional watch compititor

  • Apple's moves in 2020 highlighted how central its Watch is to its healthcare strategy.
  • When the pandemic hit, Apple teamed up with a range of health entities to roll out coronavirus-related initiatives and prove it could be a nimble healthcare partner.

Apple teamed up with some of the biggest names in healthcare to tout the effectiveness of its Watch as a clinical tool. In February, it partnered with Johnson & Johnson and Evidation Health to launch a two-year Heartline Study, which investigates the impact of the Watch on cardiovascular outcomes in Medicare patients. And in September, it began a study in collaboration with Anthem and University of California, Irvine to test an asthma management program using the Watch's blood oxygen sensor. The tech behemoth's research moves indicate that it's gunning to prove the validity of its tool across different conditions, which already span cardiac, respiratory, and reproductive health.

When the pandemic hit, Apple teamed up with a range of health entities to roll out coronavirus-related initiatives—proving itself to be a nimble and valuable healthcare partner. In March, its coronavirus initiatives included an online coronavirus screening platform, built in conjunction with the CDC, that provides US users with a symptom checking and information tool. And in April, Apple codeveloped an app with Stanford to help connect first responders to coronavirus testing sites—highlighting how it's able to pivot quickly to meet the demands of its health system partners.

Apple also joined forces with Google to unveil coronavirus contact tracing tech—and although adoption is still hampered by privacy concerns, it's picking up wind in some states. The duo turned heads in April when they announced the release of an API, enabling iOS and Android mobile users to opt-in to a Bluetooth-powered coronavirus exposure notification system (ENS). While uptake of the system was slow earlier this year, more states, like California, have recently rolled out apps using the joint contact tracing API. However, consumer distrust of big tech companies could continue to mute the effectiveness of the app: Contact tracing only works if a sizable portion of the population is using it, and there are still 29 states that haven't indicated plans to adopt the tech.

The tech titan introduced new health features for its Watch, including sleep tracking and an oxygen sensor—carving out its spot in the remote monitoring space. In June, the tech giant debuted a long-anticipated sleep-tracking feature on its Watch, helping users monitor and improve sleeping habits. And in September, it unveiled its integrated blood oxygen saturation (spO2) monitoring sensor and its faster FDA-approved ECG sensor. Given its new respiratory health feature and accompanying research studies, we expect that an acquisition of a respiratory health startup could be on the horizon: 62% of US adults have asthma, which is difficult to control—but digital interventions can help patients better manage their condition.

Apple teamed up with UnitedHealth to offer an Apple Fitness+ subscription that helps gamify health insurance to reduce costs. In December, massive payer UnitedHealthcare improved its well-being program by offering enrollees a 6-month Apple Fitness+ subscription along with an Apple Watch, free of charge. After this trial period, members can apply for program incentives to cover the cost of an Apple+ Fitness subscription and Watch—highlighting Apple's strategy to leverage its Watch for payer partnerships.

why do you think AAPL does not have a fleet testing self driving cars already, even if its true, what you don't have can be acquired , AAPL does not do big ticket acquisitions for one reason become it loses the core principles of AAPL culture of innovation, AAPL buys small companies and digest them well into its technology ecosystem, beats was acquired for appeal to youth not for the sound technology

curve grows exponential once something has already been done, what took TESLA 12 yrs can be done now sooner than 12 yrs with so much capital AAPL has, AAPL has 192 billion $ in cash, it can buy TESLA even today at 600 B $ valuation, anduke Musk saying Tesla should create a structure like Google to prevent ever being taken over and still be part of entire Musk ecosystem and still leverage success Musk has gained through TESLA

Tesla has set high standards. They are even tough for aaple to crack it. Plus Tesla is hell bent to change technology in next 5 years even just to better compete with Toyota and other EV makers. Tesla arelady bringing FSD service next year. By bringing 2 Ton hauler truck next year end, he is setting bar up high on Everest.

Aaple might be best. But they have very serious and better competitor which Tesla.

some high standards for example, they have done great innovations for sure, dont ever think they have become a symbol of perfection just yet, they are surviving just bcoz of 2x AAPL fanboys at TESLA

Tesla's initial vision was not sub 30k dollars range car. Their vision was to compete in luxury and sports cars in performance area. They built infra world wide with that vision only. But they ran into Financial problems when Govt. shutdown subsidies in 2015 for Tesla. So Musk bought 30k dollar car to mass produce so they can recover from financial problems in 2016. 4 years later, He has 3 gig factories running, 500k cars annually produced, right on target for FSD next year.

Musk not only handles Tesla. He handles SpaceX, Boring Co, First Solar, Solar Energy Storage. All areas are showing great results in business. 2 years lo 1 Trillion Dollar company avuddi sitting right next to Timmy Boring Blood sucking Cook.
