If govt listens to farmer protests then those demands wont come. Treat people good thats the biggest strength not "ghar me guske"

Govt called them for talks, sincerely tried to resolve their concerns. They have unrelated demands for example releasing Urban naxals like Varavara rao etc. which made people lose interest in them

Bro i am very knowledgable on this topic. The govt is not at all sincere - passing a bill effecting 50% of people  in middle of covid? all calculated for ambani/adani

Punjab and Haryana farmers have genuine concerns about the farm bills... but the Khalistani folks hijacked those protests and gave an anti India/modi color to it..

khalistanis are not important. First solve farmers then think of them. Dont use khalistani as excuse to supress farmers.

That’s the problem.. we are producing more rice and wheat than needed and govt has to pay and buy all of that by paying the MSP.. Farmers are not willing to try other crops... Farming is about 50% subsidized by the govt...

Farmers produced rice and wheat because govt encouraged them like that. In 1960s there was huge food shortage in india especially north india - even rich people in delhi used to be nervous. So they started this mandi system in punjab/haryana which is near to delhi and encouraged and forced them to keep on producing rice and wheat guaranteeing them MSP and setting up mandi's to collect the crop. Now there is enough food means you dont destroy the system and throw the farmers under the bus.

you have to listen to the other side and be aware of the issue in question before getting carried away to emotional dialogues and anti establishment rhetoric. For starters you can listen to Ashok gulati/shekhar gupta (he's a liberal fyi)or our vey own Jayaprakash narayan to get a different perspective instead of stubbornly sticking to a rhetoric which is built on half truth and vested interest agendas
