I am not saying protestant if perfect but it helped christians (not the world or jews), made them literate and a great civilization. In  a way you can blame colonialism also on Luther because he made protestant culture rich and that led to ships sailing from europe and that led to colonialism like that.  But its not directly relevant.

I would have to disagree about that, it is directly relevant. For one thing, it justified their treatment of natives across the world they did as they weren't considered "Enlightened"(which was reserved for the Protestant movement and it's followers). Don't also forget how they treated their own fellow Europeans(potato famine in Ireland) and how the blight was exacerbated due to the class difference between the land owners(Protestant and British) and the workers(Irish Catholic), which led to one of the most tragic famines ever witnessed and pretty much altered the course of Ireland till this day.

I don't think any one is highlighting the shortcomings here, ambiguity is part of nature and any book or religion will have an inbuilt ambiguity about it. Some let their followers question that where as some are more touchy about questioning that, merely questioning it doesn't mean it's highlighting the shortcomings. 

If anything Bhakts should be happy about the video, not disparage it.

You are conflating patriotism with Religion. Patriotism has nothing to do with Hinduism, Islam or Christianity etc.

Bhagat singh was a communist and he was a patriot. Nehru was most likely an agnostic and was a patriot. Bose was a Hindu and a patriot. maulana abul kalam azad was a Muslim and a Patriot. So all these folks might be Dumbest bunch of humans and you sir have the highest intellect. Good Luck.

Bt it's the Hindus who wore clothes first. Wrote literature first. Performed surgery first. Calculated time period and circumference of other planets first. Performed complex mathematics when world counted till 9. Was the worlds largest economy, influencing from Turkey till Bali. And most importantly, they never converted anyone 😂 oh one more thing, they had first University and first and largest library.

you are the living proof of it. didn't you claim that you were from some village and worked hard to be where you are, and support policies that encourage competition rather than policies that increase demand?

Yes, i support competition. But i was simply saying that passing blank, broad judgments on everybody is not correct.

patriots can be intellectuals and intellectuals can be non-patriots. 

Bhagat Singh, Azad, Bose, khudiram bose, nehru, gandhi, PVNR etc had different philosophies ranging from communism to near-facism, capitalism etc but all of them loved their country. 

Reagan loved the idea of US, same with JFK but both had different definitions.
