There is a high chance that what you said is true. With all the confusion regarding scriptures in Hinduism I totally believe in what you said. My only question is that Is there any proof regarding the manipulation by Christian misaionaries. Or any book which even mentions about the translations ?

Yes read this book by Urs App

https://www.google.com/books/edition/The_Birth_of_Orientalism/7iTIXXjyXPQC?hl=en&gbpv=1

60 pages is free online. Very interesting. He explains how jesuits ran behind some mystical eastern knowledge. First it was egypt then they decided on india simply because there was more chance to manipulate information.

They kept asking local brahmins for vedas and this and that - many simply had no clue. THen they started recording vedic chants by some secret brahmins and to their dissapointment those brahmins themselves had no clue what those chants mean. They sent the recordings to europe where Voltaire etc started to construct meanings. Voltair has his own agenda. It is very hilarious actually. And some of the books were straight up made up.

One thing is for sure. If so called vedas or any scriptures contain real impotant knowledge that wouldn't be free to everyone today.

Even quran and bible are only good to be an obedient slave and a rule follower. Ofcourse bible and quran help weak minded people to live their lives without questioning much about life's purpose and things like that.
