Circle ni batti. People in American circles don’t make as much and asking for more money would sound as greedy and frowned so they stick to reality. There was an Indian store keeper who was shot in Florida their friends setup go fund for 50k because store keeper circle has that range of incomes.

indians are mostly IT make more and expect more. If an Indian asks for 10K on go fund, nobody may donate. Ask for 500k campaign goal will be reached overnight!

In future, people who need will never be able to raise money using this method..

 

for all who says are countering this, I will tell real case happened to friend's frd.

He stayed in US for 13 yrs and has home (took long time ago). He has an life insurance for 350K.

He is very rich in India. He lead very happy life here with wife and 2 kids.

 

unfortunately, he died with heart attack. My friend along couple others started with 350K.

They put lot of effort and  reached the goal.

gofundme - 350K

life insurance - 350k

friends - 50K (close friends clibbed this money)

Employer - 20K (expenses for sending body to India)

They collected around 800K on total.

 

My point is it will take forever to earn this amount for that person and on top of that they are very rich in India.

 

Over enthusiasm frds do this. Although its emotional and honest for them, they want to collect as much as they can.

Staying here for so many years, we should know to take life insurance for these situations. gofundme should only be used for immediate cash expenses.
