What is the negative mindset? How can you carry on playing games when the situation in the country is grim? I don't see a positive mindset except for being adamant about pushing the league for profits. Inko window ee year dorakadu kabatti, league ela aina complete cheyali ane mindset kanipisthundi naaku.

From a sport perspective, comparison with NFL is OK. The way these leagues are organized are lot different and the logistics are different.

ipl was succesful in dubai where covid was in peaks and they were doing their best in india too... nfl and ipl is similar tournments and usa was in peaks when the tournment was running ... only hatred ye kanipisthundhi e nakodulu slum country ela implent chetshundhi ipl ni ani thappa enkoti ledhu ... hardware industries lo konni lakhs of people working manully vallaki suport cheyandi lockdown pettandi ... cancel or reschedule is ok ...

IPL dubai lo ainapppudu what were the active number of cases in India? Were we short of oxygen & hospital beds? Did we have so many deaths? The situation was not so dire in the USA as compared to India when NFL was going on , even though case numbers were high. We are daily recording record number of cases in India.

If it is all about showing the world that we can conduct the tournament in middle of a raging pandemic, then we are doing a great job at showing our strength. It all boils down to life vs Money. One needs to decide where their priorities lie.

Shakib, Mustafizur likely to leave IPL early

Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman might have to return to Bangladesh from the ongoing Indian Premier League sooner than planned earlier due to the quarantine rule imposed by the health ministry, Nizabackn Chowdhury, the Bangladesh Cricket Board chief said on Monday (May 3).

As per a new quarantine rule, which came into effect from May 1, foreign travelers coming from India and South Africa will have to go through a 14-day quarantine before resuming work in the country. BCB will need special permission from the Directorate General of Health Services to avail any relaxation on that

Earlier, BCB managed to reduce the quarantine for their foreign coaching staff and cricketers but due to the intensity of the second wave of coronavirus, chances are slim that there will will be a relaxation for people coming from either India or South Africa.

 

The Bangladesh national team is expected to return from Sri Lanka and they are not expected to follow the same quarantine rule.

"We have asked them (Shakib and Mustafizur) to let us know what is their plan for the next 15 days while we have also asked the health ministry to know what kind of quarantine protocol the two players will need to follow,'' BCB chief executive Nizabackn Chowdhury told Cricbuzz on Monday.

Initially, Shakib and Mustafizur, who are playing for Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals respectively in the ongoing IPL, were expected to return on May 19 and join the team after completing a three-day quarantine for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, scheduled to start from May 23.

"If the health ministry suggests that they will have to follow seven or 14 days quarantine, they will have to return earlier than scheduled from IPL. But before that, we have to know what rules will be in place for them," he said. "We are bound by the Bangladesh Government rules, and will take decisions according to the guideline provided by the government."

BCB are also looking to find out what quarantine protocol needs to be followed by travelers coming from South Africa. Their head coach Russell Domingo and fielding coach Ryan Cook are expected to return to South Africa and later join the Bangladesh team ahead of the home series against Sri Lanka.
