Jason Roy signs up with Sunrisers Hyderabad as replacement for Mitchell Marsh

Sunrisers Hyderabad have signed up England batsman Jason Roy as replacement for Mitchell Marsh, who has made himself unavailable for the entire season owing to personal reasons. 

Marsh, who made his Indian Premier League debut in 2010 has played a total of 21 IPL games. His replacement, Jason Roy made his IPL debut in 2017 playing for Gujarat Lions & later featured for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the 2018 IPL edition. He has played a total of 8 matches and scored 179 runs with one half-century to his name.  

Sunrisers Hyderabad have acquired Roy at his base price of INR 2 Crore.

history vallatho comparison tho use enti...Current top teams lo for odis/t20s Eng has Buttler and Aus has Wade, so veelakanna ee Pant gaadu better and also you should compare with who the next available option for India is may be Ishan Kishan- I don't know about his keeping but ippudu vunna options lo he is not bad anedi naa point anthe

Already SRH has too many foreign players...no scope for him to play unless warner and bairstow both are injured

Yep... But he can't be under 19 without wicket keeping skills..too much competition there also.

He is only brought in as a backup , given that both Kane and warner are having injury woes

My point is they would have spent that money in it indian all rounder or 5th 6th batsman ..

3 positions which are up for grabs ...no consistent performers to fill them... It's a lottery if they can perform well or not. 

Manish is almost out of team india , hope he uses this IPL to make a case for his entry again

please tell any indian allrounder who was available in the auction that demanded that sort of money? Gowtham , Dube ..i dont think they are worth the money

At the end of the day it's all money ball for some teams where they maximize the returns with good investments and not splurging on players who turn out to be a dud.
