i think uscis clarified and said that interfile will reset the clock. so another 6 months

I got Downgraded to Eb3 in Oct 2020. My eb3 140 is approved. Recently 2 months back i changed my employer. MY PD is Dec 2014. Can i can interfile to eb2 when my date is current or do i need  perm and 140 with new employer to go to Eb2??

option 1: new employer file perm and concurrently file I140+485 if your date is still current at that time. (New employer does not have access to old employer filed EB2. With 485j only EB3 I140 related thing is taken over to the new employer)

option 2: old employer does interfiling when date is current and you go back him

You can do bro with old employer 140 if your new employer agrees to it
