one other important thing Google is looking with split  is to enter into Dow Jones  index , if you see currently Google , tsla  and Amazon are not part of Dow Jones index as Dow is price weighted not market cap weighted  index , so Google has to split to enter into Dow Jones , this will push stock a bit in near term
