Quick research shows the stock has been making continuous lows. Insiders have sold a lot of stock which is not good. Its a good space to be but whole EV Industry is down and same with charging stations. Make your own call whether to hold or sell.

If you are selling, you can get a tax break upto $3000/year. Rest of the loss can be claimed in future years. For e.g. You made a profit of $5000 in stocks and a loss of $10,000. Your net loss is $5000. You can claim $3000 which will be deduced from your Income this year and the rest $2000 loss will be applied for next year.

hey one question - you make 80k loss say in 2022. So you take the tax break of 3k.

Now you make 70k profit in 2023. will this 70k be adjusted against 77k loss remaining from last year - OR you pay full tax on 70k profit ?

Once you carry over you can only apply $3000 loss in a year. So you will have to pay tax on 70-3=67k next year. You can carry over the losses indefinitely.

uncle sam Donga nayalu. Bad policy.

Bhiah could you please suggest good dividend stocks

at current prices Pfizer (PFE), Verizon (VZ). MMM is good too but has a lot of corporate governance issues. It might drop a little more. Even PFE and VZ might drop more if market falls. But you can start accumulation from now.

Keep buying .... pretty good deals now.

NOt Yet. Still there is no blood on the streets. it is just bruises, not bloody cuts. All stocks that are not Index based already trading at Covid lows. it is just overhyped Index based ones remain yet to bleed.  Absolutely no hopes in the monetary system, Bank deposits are draining. No lenders. FED has to buy bonds again like it did in COVID. That wont happen again. Only Bankruptcy is the option.

Be careful what you buy. Buy value and keep a lot of cash for down the lane. Whats cheap today could be even cheaper tomorrow.

Agree there is more blood on the streets. But not all stocks make lows at same time. Pick and choose what you want to buy and Cash is king right now.

Always buy in installments.

We shouldn't aim for perfect bottom.

Today's buy NEE. might still go down near term.

Pls throw some light on this. Based on the news, it will bleed more.

  • NextEra Energy subsidiary, NextEra Energy Partners, LP, slashed its distribution growth outlook in half.
  • The company said the move was necessary because of Fed monetary policy tightening and higher interest rates.
  • NextEra Energy Partners expects to keep its lower distribution growth rate through at least 2026.
