Trading kaadu .. long term or medium term picks .. if you have any suggestions or planning to add.

This is very tricky market. All the tech stocks are trading at all time high and doing layoffs.

invest in msft & amzn for long term.

Yeh those are by default. Even I am confused at the market. No clear direction. Chances of going down look more.

Looking for any good ones.

how much is the percentage of tqqq invested to overall portfolio ?.. looks like it very volatile and could loose 60% in a bear market...

I picked tons of alibaba stock.it went down below its IPO price.

BABA

Yeh I saw the news over the weekend. Wanted to start a thread on that.

Indian companies are trading at a super premium to Chinese stocks and chinese stocks have lost their value in $ trillions. Biggest reason is no transparency. Might be a good time to get into front line chinese stocks like BABA or BAIDU

For Architect - Diplomatic/communication skills to put work with stakeholders understanding requirements, needs and working with different groups in putting together a solid Architecture/Solution.

Problem Solving skills for process related problems (gap in a process), analyzing and understanding systems end to end to trouble shoot ...

There are so many solutions for a problem - Automation or use something like SOAP UI vs fixing actual problems, RCA, etc. How do you approach a problem. How do you finalize a solution based on the problem statement.

Always give an example from the past that the interviewer can co-relate.

For Automation vs Fixing process ...

You use automation for systems that are going away meaning they are legacy solutions. Or solutions where there are no functional experts that can fix the process. Or fixing the process is way too expensive. Then you go for automation eliminating manual intervention. All other use-cases ideally we fix the process.

What parameters you consider while putting together a solution

- Do we have the expertise in house

- Put together easy simple solutions that people understand.

- Think from maintenance point of view. Make sure the maintenance of solution is limited. For example if a transaction fails due to connectivity issue. Your solution should be able to reprocess it at a later time when connection resumes

- Integrate your solution with in house Ticketing solution (SNow or something else), Change management process (Tie Code tags with QA CR, PROD CR), etc.

One level up ki nuvvu justification ivvali. I mean u should try to convince the interviewer that ur already working at that level with some examples.

an avge tenure for a software engineer at a company in bay area is less than 2 years. Imo, there is no point in asking that question by interviewer.  If somebody asks it, ur answer looks good but stress more than change & challenging part. Career progression ani chepthey nee current company lo growth kastam ani convey chesinattu untadi.

since u have been working at same company for than decade, “change” is more appealing

Good suggestion on performing the role already taking all responsibilities that come with it without expecting anything. Its easy for your manager to justify for a promotion to that level when there is a position available or just promotion. That's how I got my previous promotions with in company.

If you are applying outside, its easy to convince why you are the right person for the job. @Spartan
