No, the total value still same. Its opposite of stock spit.

Say you have 10 Apple stocks at $100 each - Total is $1000.

If they do reverse split 1 for 5, then your number of shares would become 2 and the value of each stock would be $500.

Total value will be the same ... Just the number of shares will become half if the reverse split is 2:1 ..
