Let's leave jagga aside. We all know he is an idiot.  Discussing about him is waste of time.

2020 March lo govt ki okka maata kooda cheppakunda elections cancel chesadu nimmagadda. I think even SC said it was wrong. Appudu hardly 10 cases undey.

Ippudu vaccination nadusthundi all over India. Atleast elections duty lo undey govt employees ki 2 doses ivvali anukunna 2-3 months paduthundi. Ee time lo elections pettali ani pattubattadam naaku aithey stupidity Laney anipisthundi.

Govt employees unions lo max election duty lo participate cheyyamu antunnaru. How will nimmagadda handle this situation now? It would be interesting to see what he does and how court handles non coorparation from govt employee.

Appadu ippudu ela compare chestharu man? We were completly clueless then. No PPE, lack of sanitizers, social distaning and no one knows how it is going to turn out. That was the reason central Govt announced the lockdown. The same central govt and cetral elections commission conducted the elections. Can you blame them for doing so? People are more aware of the situation now and it was not as bad we expected at that time in India. You need to consider all those factors. Didn't you not see people from Delhi leaving to MP, Bihar on barefoot? All those things happened just 3 or 4 days after SEC announced the cancellation of elections. You read the news around that time. SEC had got the details from health department. And around the same time Harshvardhan (health minister) also suggested against events like elections.

All over India vaccination nadavadam ledhu. I don't know where you got that news. With the same half-baked lies the Govt argued in the HC. And you know the results. It was only for frontline warriors who are getting the vaccination. AP gets vaccination for some 4 lakh (or 10 lakh, don't remeber the exact number) only for health care workers/professionals. And they don't participate in the elections. Vaccication in India scheduled to go till 2024. Do you thing we don't want to conduct the elections till that date? SEC wanted the elections staff to get vaccinated. He requested the Govt and making arrangements to provide the PPE kits.

Govt employees are under pressure from the Govt. Majority are not going against the SEC decision. It was (APNGO) President N. Chandrasekhar Reddy and another guy who have been following the instructions from the YSRCP are talking against SEC in public. This Chandrasekhar Reddy tried MLA seat for his wife earlier on behalf of YSRCP party.

Andhra HC dismisses increase in quota for SCs, STs, and OBCs in local body elections

Mumbai, March 03

The Andhra Pradesh high court on March 2, Monday, dismissed the government order to provide 59.85 per cent reservations to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes in the local body elections in the state. The polls are scheduled for March, Hindustan Times reported.

The division bench of the high court, headed by chief justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari and judge Naina Jayasurya, held that the total percentage of reservation in the local body polls should not exceed 50 per cent, as per the Supreme Court order. HC order was reserved on February 7 last month.

A government order in November last year reserved 34 per cent for OBCs, 19.08 per cent for SCs and 6.77 per cent for STs in the state election.

The high court ordered the government to reallot the reserved percentage to marginalized sections by keeping in mind that it cannot go beyond 50 per cent. The high court expects the government to do this within a month so that the state can go for the election after four weeks.

The case reached Andhra high court after B Pratap Reddy filed public interest litigation (PIL) with SC challenging reservation of seats in local body elections. SC, in turn, referred the case to Andhra high court, as per media reports.

The court dismissed the argument put forth by Advocate General S Subrahmanyam that the state government can think of increasing the quota for the marginalized sections under special circumstances. The bench maintained that there are no exceptional circumstances in the state now.

State municipal administration minister Botsa Satyanarayana assured that the government will comply by order of the high court and would conduct the election within a month, HT report added.

Satyanarayana slammed Telugu Desam Party led by N Chandrababu Naidu for the judgment. He alleged that the petitioner -- Reddy -- is a TDP sympathizer and does not want the quota to be increased for SCs, STs, and OBCs.

He also said that Naidu does not stand by the rights of the weaker sections of society. He deliberately made Reddy filed a petition to “stall the hike in quota,” as per media reports.

While TDP spokesperson and former MLA Bonda Umamaheshwar Rao said the YSRCP government had intentionally brought in the increased quota for marginalised sections only to attract votes, despite knowing that the order would be rejected in the court of law, HT report added.

I am not blaming nimmagadda for cancelling elections in March. It was good decision. But atleast for formality sake he should have informed the govt.

Yes. Govt employees are under pressure from govt to boycott elections. Nimmagadda term inko 2 months. Current govt ki Inka 3.5 yrs undi. Why would they go against govt.

Single judge hearing lo govt argument tho agree ayyi post pone cheyyamannaru elections ni. Malli bench ki vellinappudu complete opposite judgement. Edhi correct Ani nammamantav.
