9:30 am local, 10 am IST: At the end of an absorbing day of cricket at the National Stadium in Karachi, it's the visitors who have their noses in front. Batting first after winning the toss - a combination of daft shots, poor running between the wickets and some slick Pakistan bowling saw South Africa get bowled out for an under par score of 220. Dean Elgar made a half-century and there were starts for most of the batsmen, but the inability to press home starts cost them badly. Yasir Shah took three while Shaheen Shah Afridi and debutant, Nauman Ali, grabbed two each. If Pakistan dominated the first couple of hours, it was all South Africa in the final hour. Kagiso Rabada inspired the comeback, taking out the two openers before Keshav Maharaj landed the big blow, with the dismissal of Babar Azam. Anrich Nortje capped off a fine day for the bowlers, getting rid of the night watchman as the hosts finished at 33 for 4, still adrift by 187 runs. Azhar Ali and Fawad Alam are out in the middle and with Mohammad Rizwan & co. still to come, the hosts will look to get as close to South Africa's total as possible
