It is a known fact that noted director, Gunasekhar is making a film called Shaakuntalam with superstar Samantha. The shooting of the film will go on floors soon and pre-production is in full swing.

Meanwhile, the latest update is that Telugu heroine, Eesha Rebba has bagged a key role in the film. She will be seen as Samantha’s close friend and has a very key role as per the update. This news is yet to be confirmed.

The film will be shot mostly in sets and also in the backdrop of a green mat. The main lead who will romance Samantha is yet to be fixed. This is a huge opportunity for Eesha Rebba as this is a big film from a prestigious banner.
