True that was also a terrible period , other states were growing 12-15% while AP fell down to 5-6% . 

Hyderabad stagnated a lot , congress  telugu states lo sanka nakipovadaniki main reason

No ,you can check the  % growth of each state AP,bihar, bengal fell  way below national average  while tamil nadu , Karnataka , maharastra had golden period . 

At the start of the decade we were pretty close with with karnataka , maharastra and Tamil Nadu . Pune was smaller than vizag , after  20 years pune's economy was rivaling that of Hyderabad . 

Intha endhuku , we had 24 hour current for agriculture  in Nellore in 1980 itself , after NTR+ congress  freebie era started , it became 4-5 hour daily current .

Indian figures and statistics are piccha lite. Andhra looks more prosperous than TN, KL looks more prosperous than andhra and TN and most of india.

It seems you haven't been to tamil nadu , most of Andhra Pradesh is rural area where you can't even find a hospital outside of district headquarters . 

Tamil Nadu has almost 50% urban population due to decentralised growth in the 1980's to 2000's . It has industries in every corner of the state  . 

Your definition of Andhra must not be limited to vizag city cause tamil nadu has 3 to 4  better cities than all of Andhra cities except vizag .

Hell Hosur itself has more industries than all of Andhra combined except vizag and Sri city surroundings

I stayed there for 6 years. Having industries does not lead to better lifestyles automatically. Chennai has industries but the owners are either outsiders or tambrahms - they barely spend anything in chennai. They like to spend in bangalore, hyd or pune. Chennai vaasis simply keep paying taxes and working for these industrialists.

Ap with its agri income has more prosperity - a simple road trip from TN-AP border enough. The roads are wider, houses are bigger, shops have better frontage and so on on AP side,.
