I was speaking to Irish/Scottish/British/German people about the rise of USA as a Super Power and many do not even know that this USA that they see now is built by their ancestors themselves. Those who know it also do not show any Proud feeling that they have the same genetic material of those ancestors who built USA. They simply said 'Yes they left us in search of better life and some left due to persecution in Europe and some due to famines like famous Irish famine of 1850s. THEY DID WHAT THEY COULD'. Nothing more and we do not have anything in common now.

Also majority of Americans who were decision makers in politics and soldiers during WW-2 have German roots themselves and all of them fought with native Germans in Germany during 1939-1945 !!
