Nothing will happen to h1 if it is not expired. 

But you might have to file taxes as non resident. And non residents might have to pay more taxes.

+1, but one thing is IRS and USCIS doesnt have any communication regarding the same. IRS vadu emi check cheyadu 99% of the time. Oka vela vadu ninnu audit chesina, nuvu penalty tho fine pay cheyochu

Naku telsi no issues, bE prepared for POE secondary screening. You can recapture that time In India during your h1b extension as well.

Yeah.  they don't bother much about enforcing this.

Em Kadu, I know one person working in India since March last year. Taxes kooda picha lite just pay your taxes normally as if you were staying in US.  Normally if you are in India for more than 6 months, you have to start filing your taxes in India but naku telsi evadu cheyyadu alaa..
