so far, TSLA profits and revenue is from other sources -selling carbon credits and other accounting manipulation. now, he is adding bit coin.. just like OSTK, microstrategy etc... now TSLA has another "reason" for pump... 

god can only save stock market now... quality stocks are stuck

the worst part is this "goon" is part of S&P and many major ETFs which will impact several investment funds.

is it a good move for TSLA ? No its GAAP earnings will take a beating if BTC plunges 
is it a good move for Industry ? Yes

the more adoption will only force govt to come up with proper regulations around BTC. govt has to treat it like a virtual bullion that jumps and falls in value. 

btc adoption is still 7-8 yrs away just like interplanetary travel hopes

i fail to wonder how any government want to encourage any bitcoin...  india already saw bitcoin is used for illegal money laundering.. its a nightmare .. even with regulation, if they don't have control on value why any government should support is beyond me
