Modi was a better CM than chandrababu ever was .  I don't like his divise politics but Gujarat went to new heights under him and the results show for themselves .

AP public will answer that who is better cm in 2024 , individual answers are subjective

Modi was not a better CM. That's just effective PR. Guj was always an economic force. Modi did nothing exceptional there.

the less said about  health and other poverty indicators for Guj under Modi's rule, the better.

anyway in India, a 'good CM' is defined by how he manages the feudal thugs in his state. because actually creating a functioning economy is  too hard a task. I don't think anyone has ever done it.. and in fact, its not CMs job to do it.

Let's take Bengaluru and Hyderabad in 1994 .

Bengaluru had 40 lakhs population , less per capita income , about same IT exports as Hyderabad  .

Hyderabad 45 lakhs population , more per capita income , slightly below Bengaluru in IT exports .

By 2004   Bengaluru had more population , 4 times the IT exports of Hyderabad  , higher per capita income .

They had a revolving door of governments with 3 chief ministers multiple cabinet shuffles  who developed Bengaluru ?

Even to this day Bengaluru has a software industry as all other places in india combined

Chandrababu 2014-2019 enni software jobs vachayi ?  India lo top 10 places kooda ledhu AP , even chandigarh exports more software

I don't understand what you mean by 'developed' bangalore. Its just a matter of being at the right place at the right time.

bangalore was already a magnet for central research institutions by 80s, with a heavy floating population. The climate, cheap land rates, and flexible BBMP(building codes) all played a part.

lets not pretend like a bunch of leaders got together and planned to develop bangalore/Hyderabad/Gujarat. Indian leaders are not planners.

Look , I am diminishing his work . He did a fine job first term but talking as if he is the only one solely responsible for everything good that happens is just blind admiration.

Administration and leadership is mostly done by officials around him and the people around him

A great general will be judged by the quality of his commanders and not his individual prowess

I was replying to a guy who said Hyderabad was nothing before him and he was the one solely responsible for whatever good that happens in Hyderabad .

gujarat would have flourished without modi , same for Hyderabad , Bengaluru , etc . The only thing that stands in their way is restrictions on industry like the communists did

Nah, CBN was trash. Modi was trash. Jagan is a bit better than these two, purely because he's not carried away by neoliberal consensus. but he too is trash in other ways.

all these people benefited by cheap money floating around from 2001-2012...

nah.. If anything Congress deserves kudos for coopting communists in 2004, and making them look like jokers. I guess you won't praise congress.. hehe..

anyway Guj had a much higher percapita pretty much all through independent India. Modi didn't create it. He just created good PR and rode the Hindutva wave thanks to the new middle class that benefited from Congress rule.
