what do you mean? they failed everywhere.

same reason. commies do theory very well, but haven't been able to fix the price discovery mechanism that capitalists have fixed (took them decades too).

what else can be the reason, other than the facts that commies don't understand how markets work and their markets are too simple, and too restrictive to be attractive to a large section of people.

Nah that's not really the case in india , since we were already following the same shitty socialist system .

The main reason was communists were the biggest supporters of government employees who are comfortably top 5% earners of the population .

A common man dealing with corrupt government employee saw them as agent of communist rather than government .

Second  reason was they thought of all landed class as enemies

okay. I think both you and I say the same thing.

communists will always flop because whatever they can do, the neoliberals can do too (by providing welfare)...

but communists cannot create a robust market. They've tried and failed everywhere. neoliberals also can't but their markets atleast have the illusion of being effective.

if neoliberals skimp on welfare, communists can make a comeback... This time may be with popular support from unorganized workers. may be I'm giving too much credit to communist organizations who've not even tried to form lasting networks outside of their traditional votebank, the way Hindu nationalist scum have done.

Vizag lo unna anni PSUs lo unna senior govt employees ki retirement/VR lu icchesinaka aa khali ina positions ni and departments ni mella mellaga privatize chesi padesi e high class govt jobs ni labor khalasi jobs ga marchi mella mella ga private companies ki outsource chesestunnaru. okappudu This happened in Port. The same thing is happening with most of the PSUs. Induke 90s lo state lo highest GDP generation unna city lo kasta negative progression jarugutundi. This trend will slowly privatize all the PSUs which are in losses.

It is quite natural , as a public enterprise ages lot of entrenched power centers emerges . It will slowly go into a spiral of stagnation , losses and slow death .

We have seen it time and time and again all over the world .  Only few institutions escaped this fate due to effective leadership .

Private companies can escape thia fate by leadership change and the knowledge that no one will be around to bail it out if something goes wrong .

Vizag stagnated a lot due to state government / central governments refusal to spend on Infrastructure since the 90's since state government has chosen Hyderabad as the only growth center and central government stopped investing in PSU's .

Choodham ycp emaina infrastructure meedha invest chestara or just sollu chebuthara like all other previous governments

Private companies also have similar shelf life. the diff btwn both is just propaganda. both are equally inefficient, and run like mafia.
