downtown lo PT okkatena....there are many residential buildings...desi's ekkada padithe akkada untaru...Rush hospital near by lo kuda chaala apartments untai. Rush university and Uni. of IL, Chicago campus kuda akkade so lots of students.

avoid South side of chicago DT...pakka nallola area so you know how it is. Anywhere north, east, part of west of downtown is very safe and happening....and pls avoid Devon st..thats a desi slum and far from DT. 

India nundi coming kada so car undadhu....better to live in downtown and commute in local buses or subways. Suburbs aithe Schaumburg (in and around this area), Naperville etc but closer to Metra train station is better so that he can walk to station (40-50mins train ride to DT).

naperville metra station (Rt 59 Metra station) ki walking distance lo full of apartments and 99% desi santha...majority of them are families but you can find pretty good number of bachelors who can share their apartment as well. this area is 100% safe with lots of desi stores, restaurants and desi movies release ayye theaters. metra lo 45mins express train to downtown union station...from there your frnd can take a bus to Rush

its pure myth....nallollu unna area lo any city, any time, any moment same situation....and no desi will never go around that place. Chicago downtown lo 5yrs unna...safest place any time. again if you go to proper nalla area (far south of downtown) then like I said, doesn't matter which city...same situation. Chicago Suburbs aithe assalu no need to worry at all. forget desi hubs like Naperville, Schaumburgh etc...majority suburbs are safest.

Nov - March is very cold....indulo Dec - Feb is peaks....monna Nov mid lo kuda 70's unde couple days lo we did bbq as well...so depends on each year.....inka April, May lo 50's nundi slow ga each week it will improve to a point where u dont have to wear any jacket in day time....same applies in Oct, as you approach Nov to Dec, each week will be colder.

what I hate abt chicago is those 4 months of winter. Remaining so called cold days US lo chaala places lo untai except FL, AZ etc, so chicago is no exception....another big minus is taxes. Property tax and also State tax....as long as Dem's control this state, we can expect another rise in state tax very soon.

but cost of living in terms of real estate is very reasonable...chicago land is 3rd largest city in US..compare it with top 10 cities and you will be surprised with these costs.
