Do one thing bro, take a couple of courses spend 2 to 3 months and build a few web applications using Django or Flask. You will gain confidence, then try to do a few data projects on Kaggle. 

Ala oka 6 months kastapadithey you can manage anything using Python pretty well, just learning an online course won't help with Python. You have to actively use it extensively.

baa you have to start with basics.. take a course on udemy.. also corey schafer's videos on youtube are great

i am workning as DE.....DE is wierd stack these days, 

its datawarehousing(ETL) + BigData(Hadoop/Spark) + Python/Scala + cloud(AWS/GCP/Azure)
