hahaha, i am glad govt is making changes to stop ricebag conversion industry using OCI card holders to run the conversion factories

you get everything to do just like a citizen does not mean one can do conversions, everything has reasonable restrictions

most dumbest and illogical reason ... conversions ke OCI ke sambandam endhi vya ... visiting visa for religious purpose is not illegal and conversions chesthunna vallu majority are Indian citizens ...

erri F, with US green card you are eligible to work for even DoD, DoE and many jobs which requires security clearance and do any research you want or preach any religion ... only some jobs which requires very high level of security clearance are reserved for Citizens... 

US does restricts and need approvals for foreign nationals who do research on critical technologies but not like “any research”.

iranian citizen is not allowed to work on jobs which needs export control clearance but same Iranian citizen with GC is allowed to do any job any where that is the liberty

OCInitself is a stupid concept..if you have decided to pick up citizenship of another country, why do you even need to have rights in your ex-home land ?

visiting visa badulu lifelong india ki ochi ponika oka permanent visa iyandi..adi saal..OCI is way too much for someone who choose to give up their citizenship.

Adhe le conversion of heart antadu inko name tho ... Conversion anedhi na personal choice, just like you change job if you are not comfortable with ur current job ...  the reason can be anything from self respect to more monetary benefits ... ne system lo unna chettha ne theyakunda elanti pichi rules thesthe no use ... still in 90% of villages in India a god procession never goes to SC colony, they are not treated as stake holders in Hindu society but still you expect them to stay ?

this is the ground reality of India, though there are 100 other reasons this is the main one.

OCI is not a good concept. Too many rights are conferred to someone who used to hold Indian citizenship at a point of time.

Even before OCI, there have been investments. 
 

OCI rights should be cut down. If investment is a major criteria, then some other way should be provided but too many rights for OCI’s.
